As I’m a lover of the boho-chic trend, I wanted to share with you my experience with Musse & Cloud’s Aineed, a comfortable and versatile sandal that can take you from class to date night with the right accessories.
If you are looking to prolong your vacay in your back-to-school looks, there’s nothing better than a boho-chic sandal. Chances are that, at the very least, they will bring you back to the long, careless days of summer and ease the transition to a regular schedule!
My Experience With Musse & Cloud Aineed Sandal in Ice
Calling all boho-chic and lace lovers! When the folks at Musse & Cloud sent me a pair of the Aineed lace cut-out sandals for editorial consideration, I immediately fell in love with their soft look. To be honest, my first thought was that they were perfect for a City Hall wedding or as reception shoes for a boho-chic bride (look above and tell me that they wouldn’t look amazing with a blush bouquet and a wedding dress!) As that is not on the horizon for me at the moment, my second thought was how versatile they looked with all kinds of pieces.
As this summer has been extremely hectic in the world of beauty, I really didn’t have a chance to explore all their possibilities until later last week, when it was strangely colder in New York (as in not stifling hot) and I wanted to wear something on my feet that looked put together for some meetings and a friend date later at night.
I decided to pair the sandals up with a palazzo high-waist pant by Uniqlo (the comfiest I own) and a crazy Carmen Miranda-esque top with a bold lemon print and a ruffle by H&M. Quite surprisingly, the whole outfit worked together pretty nicely, especially with my SPF 50 fedora! To transition into my date night look, I added three beautiful midnight blue Swarovski bracelets by Les Interchangeables (more about these below) and a beautiful bird pouch by Papaya, one of my favorite stationery brands.
Musse & Cloud’s Aineed sandals are all you can expect from a comfortable hybrid between a shoe and a sandal. They are soft, airy, romantic, and sturdy enough to avoid silly slips and falls. As the back has an adjustable elastic cord, they adapt very well to all types of legs and ankles, and lo and behold they don’t blister my feet. That is major for me. I get blisters for nothing!
As when I test a pair of shoes I try to go to the extreme, I took my Aineed to all sorts of city adventures. Subway crowds, rats, cobblestone on the Village, slippery terrain on the parks… they passed all my tests with flying colors. Really, if you are looking for a very comfortable pair of transition shoes that let your toes breathe with a good grip, Aineed are the perfect sandals for you.
After my first test, I have worn these sandals on multiple occassions and with all kinds of outfits. They work beautifully with short and long jeans, long dresses, and even printed skirts thanks to their neutral colors. Your imagination is the limit!
Aineed by Musse & Cloud is a laser-cut lace sandal made in Spain, Europe, by the same parent company that designs and manufactures the trendy brand Coolway. Available in three different colors (black, ice -as shown in this article-, and leather), it is a wonderful piece to use in the summer and for your transition looks.
Extremely comfortable and versatile, Aineed by Musse & Cloud has a suggested retail price of $90 and is available at Musse and Cloud’s American website and retailers such as Nordstrom.
Accesorizing the Aineed Sandals with The Paris Bracelet
Although it is possible to go for a full boho-chic outfit with these sandals and an Ibiza-style dress, you can definitely modulate the trend to adjust to your daily needs and your most fashionable summer looks.
In my case, a fedora and a pair of sunglasses were the finishing touch for my day meetings. To transition into my date night, I chose some beautiful elastic bracelets made in Paris by Les Interchangeables, aka The Paris Bracelet.
Surprisingly versatile and beautiful for a one-size-fits-all, the brand combines the French allure with the latest design trends. Using a high-quality elastic ribbon and real Swarovski crystals, they are a very interesting alternative for those of you who can’t use regular jewelry due to allergies. Although the disc is made of brass with a jewelry-grade bath of rhodium that should’t be problematic (it wasn’t for me, and I usually wear only sterling silver), you can even remove it and tie the bracelets with a simple knot on the back.
Available at The Paris Bracelet website and selected brick-and-mortar stores, these bracelets retail at different prices. From top to bottom: Mini Pearls: $34; The Twelve: $54; Fine Rocks: $45. The website also offers full sets that are ideal for gifting.
Aineed by Musse & Cloud is a dream of a shoe. A hybrid between a sandal and a summer loafer, it offers enough protection for the perfect boho-chic statement in my back-to-school transition looks, and works beautifully with any of your late summer fashion pieces.
The lace is extremely soft and comfortable, and has a beautiful ruched design that works extremely well with my narrow feet (sometimes, strappy sandals are extremely big and it shows; that doesn’t happen with Aineed.) Also, the elastic back lace is perfect to adjust the sandal to your own preferences and your unique ankle size. A true one-size-fits-all, in my opinion, you can never go wrong with a pair of comfortable sandals!
