Are you an Urban Decay junkie but want to swatch to more natural cosmetics? Are you in a toxin-free quest to replace your old makeup, but still want to look gorgeous? Look no more! Meet 100% Pure Pretty Naked Palette II, a wonderful array of cheek and eye colors created using crushed fruit pigments and other natural ingredients. Inside you’ll find zero synthetic ingredients, zero nasties, and gorgeous colors.

100% Pure Pretty Naked II Palette is perfect to achieve a natural day look or a smokey eye for the night. With gorgeous and naturally soft hues, this palette includes a blush, a luminizer and three eyeshadows in a very practical and lightweight packaging that will not weigh you down if you want to carry it around.

The Details

The 100% Pure Pretty Naked II Palette is 100% natural, meaning its ingredients are not synthetic. It’s also vegetarian, vegan, cruelty-free, and gluten-free for those of you who might have food intolerances. The palette has NO parabens, synthetic fragrances, synthetic dyes, animal derivatives, and other nasties that many green beauty lovers want to avoid at all costs.

The colors featured are: A pink champagne luminiscent powder (Illume), a red brick blush (Afterglow), and three eyeshadows in taupe (Beam), toffee (Splendor) and dark chestnut with purplish hues (Vivid.) This palette retails for $45 but is temporarily on sale for $33.75 at the time of publication (believe me, you won’t find a better deal on this one.)

The Swatches

To prep the skin, I used 100% Pure 2nd Skin Foundation (you can read my review here) in golden peach. I took these photos under a natural light so you can appreciate better how well they pigment:

My experience

I have to admit I love this brand. Ever since I published my first review on their color line, I was hooked on the idea that you can still
pull off fashionable make-up looks without using synthetic ingredients. Although I use all types of cosmetics, to my understanding it’s
important to limit the bio-accumulation (or the toxin buildup in the
system that happens when you use synthetic ingredients for long periods
of time.)

So when this palette came out I was very excited!

After using it for a couple of weeks on a daily basis, I can say it’s great for creating natural day looks in a breeze. The eye colors are perfectly coordinated with the blush and the luminizer, and I no longer have to ask myself whether my makeup is appropriate for an office setting. I’m totally in love with the luminizer and blush combo, because they give me a dewy look without being too obvious.

On top of that, these colors look vibrant and compliment my skin and hair tone. I have what Amazing Cosmetics considers a Light Golden skintone and really dark hair and eyes. I find the blush makes my skin pop without being overtly present, and the Chestnut eyeshadow is ideal to use as a subtle eyeliner or to pull off a full smoky look at night. In my opinion the other palettes at 100% Pure don’t compliment really well darker hair/eyes like mine, but these colors are exactly what I’ve been looking for to pull off different looks without having to overthink my routine.

Susie Wang, the founder of the brand, explained to us in a press
conference that she aimed to create cosmetics that gave a polished and
pretty look without being too obvious. And this is where this palette
excels: It has the right amount of pigmentation to create a natural yet
beautiful look.

The Verdict

I can honestly recommend this palette because the colors stay put all day long even in this muggy weather. They pigment fairly well, they are very easily buildable, the powder formula is pretty convenient.

Of all the colors in the palette, the luminizer (Illume) and the blush (Afterglow) are my favorite ones. It has taken me a while to find a beautiful rose hue for my cheeks that’s just bright enough to make me glow in an understated way. The luminizer is great for bringing in light to the top of your cheeks, the bridge of your nose, your forehead and your chin (exactly where the sun would illuminate you) for a super natural and dewy tone. Whenever I use it people think I’m well-rested.

Moreover, if I compare this Pretty Naked II palette to the other ones available by 100% Pure I can say this is definitely the best for warm undertones because it compliments them very well. The colors are just the right natural hue and are not pasty, chalky, or too bright, and much more vivid than in the original Pretty Naked palette.

The 100% Pure Pretty Naked II Palette scores a 10/10 in my green beauty ranking.

I'm so in love with this brand! TY for taking swatches, it's difficult to see how these things look online and I don't have their stores closeby.

@Shopinista Yup! They look great and they pigment very well, with the added bonus that they contain only natural ingredients if that's something you're looking for
