New 100% Pure Lip Caramel Swatches and Review

If you have stumbled upon this post, it means you’re very likely on the lookout for a change in your beauty routine. 100% Pure is a brand that’s synonym with natural cosmetics, in the sense that they only use natural ingredients and zero synthetic chemicals in their formulas. Quite an accomplishment, because aside from being clean this brand delivers on its promises.

Although I was introduced to 100% Pure last year (and fell so much in love with their 100% Pure Pomegranate Lipsticks that they made it to my top four lip products of 2015), I’m very excited to share with you their latest novelty: 100% Pure Lip Caramel, a liquid lipstick that combines the texture of a gloss with the effects of a lip stain.

Before moving on to the range of colors, I have to say that these liquid lipsticks are intensely pigmented, last really long, and for some reason are extremely comfortable to wear. I have very dry lips and they glide on like a gloss, neither showing up the cracks in my pout nor creating the wonderful ‘flaky’ look I get with other brands. The formula is creamy and non-sticky, and gets extra points because it also stains the lips, so they never look weird when the color is fading. They score a solid 10/10 in my beauty scale. And I probably should throw in some extra points because they are free of synthetic chemicals.

My only negative comment (if any) is that the formula is so pigmented that you don’t really need to use a lot of product, or otherwise it ends up in your teeth. I have found that applying it with a lip brush works wonders for me (and I didn’t need to use a lip liner at all.)

Here are seven colors out of the ten available in the current line:

From left to right, Sorbetto (a beautiful bold pink shade), Rum Nougat (a rosy neutral), Scotch Kiss (a gorgeous red with orange undertones), Truffle (a gorgeous taupe neutral color), Cherry Cordial (the perfect pink with red undertones, and my favorite shade), Melon Drop (a bubblegum pink shade), Red Velvet (the perfect red), and Ganache (a flattering pink/peachy neutral).

Here is a more detailed look: (for your reference, the swatches have been taken with natural light on what Amazing Cosmetics considers a Light Golden skintone)

The formula is composed of totally natural ingredients, most specifically from fruit, roots, and achiote seed pigments in a base of lip softening pomegranate oil and cocoa butter. In a nutshell, these beauties naturally color and treat the lips.

I can proudly say I attended several New York Fashion Week shows wearing these lipsticks and I got many compliments for the beautiful shades.

Each 100% Pure Lip Caramel retails for $25. The 100% Pure Lip Caramel range is now available for sale at 100percentpure.com and 100% PURE retail stores.
